So today I celebrated my birthday and I started to think how this annual event has changed over the years with…you guessed it, Technology.
To plan one’s birthday, Mom or Dad would mail invitations or you’d hand them out at school, then as you got older you called people (hopefully from your own phoneline), then email made it easier to reach everyone at once, then evite.com let you personalize your own layout (and you could see who viewed your invite, which I think is one of thee best sneeky features ever invented) and now the current medium (for me at least) is Facebook.
Even getting to the party has changed: you double check the invite on your Facebook app, you look up the address on your phone map, and the doorbuzzer is attached to a cell phone.
